“Don’t Tell a Soul” is a 2020 thriller movie about two brothers who steal money from a disabled man, but get trapped in an abandoned building. The older brother is a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” and the younger is “caught between a rock and a hard place”. Review
Act I
In fair Ohio, where our scene is set,
A tale of greed and family strife beset,
Don’t Tell a Soul, the latest offering on screens,
A story of two brothers, their relationship strained like seams.
Act II
Joey and Matt, the two siblings we meet,
Their mother sickly, their father absent from seat,
Matt’s got a twisted ankle and needs money for med,
Joey noncommittal, with love for his brother shed.
Act III
The temptation to steal gets too much for Matt,
He breaks into a house, stealing dollars from mat,
But the silence was broken by an alarm that rang,
Matt caught in the act while Joey stood outside sang.
Act IV
Security guard Hamby enters stage left
With Matt caught red-handed he’s of theft bereft
He’s taken ill, Joey finds his distress profound
Leaves his brother behind and with Hamby is found.
Act V
The morality play begins with enough tension
The audience wondering what will come to fruition.
With secrets abound it’s hard to keep track
Of who knows what about the robbery quack.
Act VI
Mena Suvari and Fionn Whitehead shine bright
Playing roles complex with skillful delight
Hamby and Joey both have secrets to hide
Their pasts catching up with them leaving nowhere to reside.
